About The Position

Business Banker Position Purpose: To build and service a loan portfolio. Typically, the person in this position will maintain a loan portfolio size over 10 million dollars. Qualities of the successful candidate include: Three to five years of prior lending experience preferred Must have detailed knowledge of banking rules and regulations and Bank products offered Construction lending experience is a plus Professional appearance and attitude are a must Must have knowledge of credit analysis, credit policy/procedures, problem loan administration, and financial budgeting and planning Computer knowledge and the ability to learn various software programs is a must Attention to detail while composing, typing and proofing loan documents Must have the ability to calculate figures and have good verbal and written communication skills Responsibilities of this position include (but not limited to): Identifies, pursues, and develops potential; commercial customers in order to build a high-quality loan portfolio, while staying in accordance with loan policy guidelines and underwriting standards to ensure maximum profitability, loan quality and to minimize potential losses to the Bank Manages an existing portfolio and will be required to build on those relationships by giving top notch financial service Approves and administers loans up to individual credit limit Establishes customer’s risk level by researching bank relationships, determining collateral values, and analyzing all data compiled to ensure quality loans are approved. Listens to a customer’s problem and then tries to find a workable solution Displays knowledge and proficiency in explaining and selling additional Bank products; recognizes sales opportunities and refers customers to the appropriate department Prepares and presents information at loan meetings in a clear, accurate, and confident manner Plays an active role in community affairs and organizations while projecting a positive image of the Bank and demonstrating the Bank’s commitment to the community. Compensation for positions is based on the specific position and may be paid in the form of an hourly wage, overtime, a semi-monthly salary, commissions, or a combination of them. Requirements
