About The Position

The Procurement Business Assistant serves as the key point of contact for all procurement-related guidelines, policies, and procedures across diverse business areas. This role supports faculty, students, and staff in the College of Engineering and Purdue Polytechnic Institute with the procurement of goods and services, ensuring a smooth and efficient purchasing process. Responsibilities include placing and receiving orders in Ariba, managing new or updated vendor requests, processing direct payments, entering work orders, handling cash and check deposits, and reconciling departmental purchasing cards. The position also involves serving as the primary contact for procurement inquiries, assisting faculty, staff, and students with purchasing needs, and utilizing the Footprints tracking system to manage workflow effectively. Success in this role requires someone who can transition easily between tasks and adapt well to different work styles, maintaining efficiency and effectiveness in a dynamic environment. Hybrid work will be considered for this position based on the candidate's location and interest.
