About The Position
Quad is seeking a Business Area Manager to work in the Press Area at our West Allis, WI location. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of hourly manufacturing, temporary labor, and support employees in the finishing department to meet customer requirements of quality and delivery schedule. The role involves auditing equipment and the production floor for safety, quality, and productivity concerns, and correcting as necessary. The manager will train, coach, and engage production employees, schedule and conduct shift meetings, and hold employees responsible and accountable for their performance. Additionally, the manager is responsible for shift schedules, including workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, and coverage for absent employees. Conducting employee performance reviews, coordinating production activities with other departments, ensuring a safe work environment, and enforcing all safety policies and procedures are also key responsibilities. The manager will give direction to staff for optimum performance, providing technical and organizational leadership as it relates to daily production requirements, and effectively communicate with other functional areas and department leaders. The role also involves fielding emails and calls from customer account managers and sales representatives and responding to their requests promptly and professionally.
