Enterprise Architecture is seeking a visionary Business Architect to strategically support the Architecture Management team. This role is crucial for Enterprise Architecture as we shape Ford's Digital Business Strategy through strategic road maps and innovative technical solutions by leveraging our expertise and industry perspective across the Enterprise. The successful candidate will be a holistic thinker, adept at analyzing portfolios to optimize change, fostering innovative ideas, and defining clear, actionable roadmaps for execution by product teams, ensuring tangible business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Enterprise Architecture organization by championing best practices in Business and Information Architecture, contributing to the overall maturity of the practice.
  • Partner with the business in the development of key business architecture assets across to establish a core set of information for the business to use in decision making (focus on the following domains: capability, value streams, information, organization, and strategy mapping)
  • Consult strategically with business leaders, senior architects, and IT partners to define the business architecture required to achieve ambitious business strategies and deliver measurable value.
  • Define clear, quantifiable success measures based on business strategy, and track progress against them.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the application portfolio, identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.
  • Create dynamic models that support current state analysis and future state strategies, emphasizing value streams and capability-based planning.
  • Present and pitch compelling architecture insights and recommendations to senior leadership, demonstrating the business value and strategic implications.
  • Develop robust strategies and define clear requirements for systems that will support architecture roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Maintain the data and relationships in the defined Business Architecture Knowledgebase (currently: Ins-pi)
