About The Position

Works directly with the Dean of Library Services to manage the library budget, which includes monitoring, reconciling, and creating reports from multiple funding sources. Ensures that the library adheres to standards set for state agencies. Monitors and maintains library inventories and contracts for subscriptions (with Collection Development Librarian), services and maintenance. This position also assists the Dean with administrative duties which include assisting with human resources processes, purchasing responsibilities for the library and management of commodities, capital outlay, foundations and travel budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Three years related experience in budget management and administrative duties
  • Administrative experience in a professional office setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Background in budget management, purchasing, and accounting
  • Excellent Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook skills
  • Extensive experience with Excel for accounting
  • Substantial expertise in accounting and managing budgets
  • Experience in producing financial reports
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
