About The Position

The Business Analyst Fellow Advisor provides senior-level strategic leadership and advisory support for highly complex Project Controls, Financial, Planning, and Scheduling activities across large-scale DOE nuclear programs. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior and executive management, guiding project execution strategies, financial performance, risk mitigation, and schedule optimization across major programs and integrated project teams.

Requirements

  • Education (one of the following): Master's degree in business, construction management, technical, engineering, or related discipline and 17 years of practical experience Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, technical, engineering, or related discipline and 21 years of practical experience Associate's degree and 23 years of practical experience High school diploma and 24 years of relevant experience
  • Strong personal computer skills
  • Required: Master's degree in Project Management
  • Required: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Nuclear industry experience within the DOE complex
  • Extensive experience supporting complex projects in project controls, financial analysis, planning, and scheduling
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance
  • 100% onsite at Savannah River Site (Aiken, SC)
  • No routine travel required; local candidates expected onsite

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice to senior and executive management related to execution of complex project and program plans
  • Develop, implement, and direct total project or program controls for major scopes of work
  • Lead development of project baseline plans, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and spend plans
  • Innovate advanced project control and financial analysis methodologies and system applications
  • Provide expert technical guidance to teams performing multi-project integrated planning, analysis, and corrective action development
  • Lead and oversee variance analysis processes and corrective action planning
  • Maintain expert-level working knowledge of Site Business Systems and recommend performance improvements
  • Provide technical and administrative leadership, coordination, evaluation, training, and coaching to Project Controls, Financial Analysts, and Planning & Scheduling specialists
  • Develop and deliver training programs in Project Controls, Financial Controls, and Planning & Scheduling systems and methodologies
  • Lead preparation and presentation of complex financial and project performance information to senior and executive SRNS management
  • Deliver concise, accurate presentations to internal and external stakeholders regarding project status, changes, risks, and execution strategies
  • Conduct complex, multi-disciplinary financial and technical analyses to identify risks, develop alternatives, and accelerate milestone achievement
  • Perform risk analysis and provide decision authority for corrective actions and priority setting
  • Serve as a business and financial advisor to project management teams, peers, less-experienced analysts, and senior site leadership
  • Work with scope owners to develop resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6
  • Maintain schedules through forecasting, trend analysis, and critical path analysis
  • Support project risk management activities
  • Execute formal change management processes
  • Manage budgets and provide detailed status and performance reports
  • Train and mentor project controls and scheduling personnel
  • Primavera P6 system administration
  • Data extractions and advanced reporting
