As a Business Analytics Consultant Sr. within PNC's Balance Sheet Management organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This position sits within PNC's Balance Sheet Management function, providing modeling and analytics support to PNC. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager's discretion. Ideal candidate possesses a Master's or PhD from a STEM-focused curriculum. Preferred degrees include STEM designated economics programs, applied math or statistics, financial engineering, financial mathematics, or other statistically-intensive programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with complex analytical tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or PhD from a STEM-focused curriculum.
  • Experience with financial engineering or financial mathematics.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver financial reporting performance metrics to key internal stakeholders and leadership, including Asset-Liability Management, Balance Sheet Analytics, and Finance and Accounting.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the bank's interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) and liquidity risk exposure.
  • Perform in-depth reviews of methodologies, assumptions, and scenarios used by the first-line function for ALM modeling and balance sheet management.
  • Leverage SQL, Excel, Power BI, Python, and/or QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) to streamline data analysis, and address modeling needs.
  • Partner with Model Risk Management and other risk stakeholders in reviewing the validity and reliability of assumptions to identify opportunities for improvement.
