About The Position

The Business Analytics Lead Analyst will work directly with Econdisc management and analytics teams to support the data analysis, reporting, and maintenance of our wholesaler and supplier sales data. Additionally, the Lead Analyst will support financial modeling, pricing evaluations and other ad hoc analysis as required by the business. As a Business Analytics Lead Analyst, you will collaborate with the team to load daily/weekly sales files and review the data to identify variances and determine cause/resolution. The Lead Analyst will need to be able to write or modify SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server to obtain necessary data for analysis. Responsibilities: Provides advanced professional input to complex Business Analytics assignments/projects. Works in collaboration with business partners to provide analyses and reports to aide decision making based on data, facts, and analytical findings across different parts of the organization. Analyzes and interprets collected data, spots trends, writes reports and recommendations and completes data modeling. Supports and provides direction to more junior professionals. Works autonomously, only requiring “expert” level technical support from others. Exercises judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures Utilizes in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends, within Business Analytics. Qualifications: 3+ years relevant professional work experience preferred Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills, highly organized, and self-motivated Analytical and detail-oriented in all work activities. Able to handle and prioritize multiple projects or tasks at a time. Able to solve complex problems, communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Knowledge of one or more query design tools (such as Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Teradata SQL Assistant, Oracle SQL Developer, etc.) is required. Ability to write, develop, tune, and maintain SQL statements is a plus. Knowledge of one or more ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools (such as Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Informatica, Ab Initio, Talend, SSIS, Alteryx, etc.) a plus. Demonstrated knowledge of reporting tools (Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. Requirements
