About The Position

Maryland Auto Insurance seeks candidates to fill a part-time, contractual role in our Internship Program within the IT-Business Analytics Department. This is a part time position with a maximum of 29 hours per week for 8 weeks this summer starting June 8, 2026. This position is hybrid with both virtual and in office work. The candidate will be required to come into the office a minimum of once per week. Wednesday(s) will be a required in office day for educational lunch and learn sessions. The Business Analyst Intern will report directly to the Business Analyst and Chief Information Officer providing direct support via data analysis to the various departments throughout the organization. The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of SQL, Microsoft 365 suite programs, and Microsoft Power BI as well as a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with co-workers at all organizational levels, establish and meet deadlines, and participate in business unit operational discussions

Requirements

Pursuit of bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification in Computer Science or Business Administration.
Some work experience in data or business analysis programs including Microsoft 365 Suite, particularly Excel, and Microsoft Power BI. Experience and understanding of SQL is highly preferred. Demonstrated skills should include problem solving, project management, trend analysis and the creation of presentation materials.

Able to propose, create, and maintain measurement & monitoring methods for workflow processes and business results.
Managing competing resources and priorities and monitor deliverables to ensure consistent timely completion of projects.
