As a Business Analytics Consultant Senior within PNC's Risk organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Charlotte, NC or Rocky Mountain, NC. The Senior Business Analytics Consultant supports the Risk Data team by identifying, documenting, and maintaining visibility into how Risk data is sourced, transformed, and consumed across the Risk organization. This role focuses on understanding data usage within IRM and related reporting, analytics, dashboards, and emerging AI enabled solutions. The analyst plays a key role in strengthening transparency, traceability, and understanding of Critical Data and Critical Data Components across the Risk Domain. Job Description Leverages complex analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and useful applications across multiple functions or business units to create data driven solutions. Consulting to clients on tool and strategy implementation and monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product / solution development. Determining the optimal analytic approach and supporting development, implementation and enhancements. Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing analytical solutions for business leadership to enable data driven decision making. Analyze results and make recommendations for key business partners and senior management or communicate conclusions from complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences. Requirements

  • Experience with data analysis, data lineage, or data documentation in a Risk, Finance, or regulated environment.
  • Ability to read and understand SQL, reporting logic, or data pipelines used in dashboards, analytics, or models.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with both technical and business partners to translate complex data flows into clear documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data governance, Critical Data Elements (CDEs), or data management concepts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection and analysis of Risk data usage across the Risk Domain, with an emphasis on IRM reporting, analytics, and regulatory use cases.
  • Identify and document data sources used in reports, dashboards, models, and AI agents by reviewing and parsing underlying code, queries, and logic.
  • Trace and document data flows from upstream consumption layers or applications through transformations to source systems.
  • Support research and documentation of data lineage for Risk data, including identification of upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Ensure Critical Data and Critical Data Components are well understood, traceable, and properly documented.
  • Capture and maintain lineage and data flow documentation in alignment with enterprise data management and governance standards.
  • Support ongoing efforts to improve Risk data transparency, auditability, and regulatory readiness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Risk data documentation processes as tools and capabilities evolve.
