As a Business Analytics Consultant within PNC's Data Reporting organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Job Summary: The Business Analytics Consultant will support the Credit and Cash Management Analytics & Reporting team within PNC’s AMG Data and Reporting group. This role focuses on Private Bank banking sales & performance, portfolio and operational reporting, data analysis and dashboarding to support production goals and business decision making. The consultant will collaborate with business and technical teams to analyze requirements, manage data workflows, and support enhancements to the data warehouse used for AMG reporting. Job Description Leverages analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and applications for a business function or business unit to create data driven solutions. Recommending appropriate performance measures to be produced including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals, and other statistical metrics. Analyzing and processing data, building and maintaining models and report templates, and developing dynamic, data-driven solutions. Providing business clients with detailed, actionable reports documenting the findings from, data processing, and data analysis. Consulting on using business intelligence data for predictive analytics and facilitating implementation of new tools and data marts. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or related field
  • 1–2 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with structured datasets
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with: o Python o PySpark o Tableau or Power BI (dashboards and data visualization)
  • Familiarity with database administration tools (MS SQL Server, Toad, etc.)
  • Understanding of data storage concepts and how to work with enterprise data
  • Experience supporting automated refreshes and reporting processes
  • Ability to read, interpret, and explain dashboards and reporting outputs

Nice To Haves

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Gen AI knowledge or exposure
  • Experience using GitHub and Copilot
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira
  • Experience interacting with cross functional teams in an Agile intake process
  • Familiarity with AMG business and processes
  • Wealth management or asset management business knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Support banking production goals through data analysis, reporting, and dashboarding.
  • Build and maintain relationships with line of business partners
  • Analyze and document business requirements and production specifications related to changes in the data warehouse supporting AMG reporting.
  • Participate in data discovery by identifying, analyzing, and validating additional data sources to meet business needs.
  • Partner with technical teams to define database table structures and data designs.
  • Identify and document system constraints, impacts, and implications of proposed system changes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau or Power BI.
  • Use SQL to analyze datasets, read workbooks, and interpret dashboards.
  • Support automated data refreshes and automated email reporting workflows.
  • Understand how data is stored, structured, and accessed across systems.
  • Collaborate within Agile environments, supporting intake processes and cross team communication.
