About The Position

The Business Analyst position at We Energies involves supporting the Wholesale Energy Accounting process, which is crucial for accurate reporting of megawatt hours (MWh) associated with the company's Local Balancing Authority Areas. The role focuses on identifying impacts of changes in fleet, interconnection, and load, and implementing necessary configuration changes within the PCI Energy Accounting system. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient process flow and to capture changes in the generation mix, particularly with the increased use of renewables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline
• Strong analysis, decision making and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Offer internal process and user/customer perspective of simplicity, efficiency, and effectiveness into design and analysis.
• Make recommendations and present alternatives to address business needs or resolve impediments.
• Analyze data discrepancies and identify cause, determining the best solution considering impacts on MISO market and internal processes.
• System configuration and administration, including design, implementation, testing, and documentation of changes to the Wholesale Energy Accounting process.
• Serve as subject matter expert on systems, process, and user/customer impact, understanding the complex area of Energy Accounting.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient process flow across organizational lines and establish key working relationships.
