About The Position
As a Senior Business Analyst at Tria Federal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a custom application development project within an agile development environment. This position requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 6 years of experience in business analysis, particularly in the federal government sector. Your primary responsibility will be to elicit, define, visualize, and document end-user driven requirements, ensuring they are effectively integrated into the software development process. You will work closely with the Product Owner and government stakeholders to prioritize and manage the Product Backlog, which includes creating user stories and acceptance criteria. Your expertise in defining business requirements and processes will be crucial in delivering high-quality outcomes that meet client expectations. In this role, you will coordinate with various teams, including the development and testing teams, to establish a shared understanding of both functional and non-functional requirements. You will be responsible for creating project scoping documents such as Business Requirements Documents and Requirements Traceability Matrices, as well as producing business process models that illustrate current and future states. Your ability to facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and collaborate with stakeholders will be essential in capturing all necessary use cases and business scenarios. Additionally, you will leverage your advanced skills in Atlassian tools, particularly JIRA and Confluence, to maintain and groom the Product Backlog, ensuring that requirements are current and aligned with project priorities. You will also have the opportunity to act as a scrum master, facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing team velocity. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you perform gap analyses to ensure completeness and quality of requirements, ultimately contributing to the success of mission-critical projects that impact the citizens served by the Department of Justice.
