About The Position

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our project team to build a custom and COTS integration solution for our Government client. In this role you will collaborate with product owners, stakeholders and an Agile engineering team to solicit, elaborate, and document business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have experience working on IT software infrastructure projects, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. Candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. The primary work location is in Rockville, MD with occasional client visits in Washington, D.C. In this role you will:

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years business analysis experience in a structured software development environment
  • Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to understand and document technical IT requirements
  • Must be able to attain a Public Trust clearance. Possessing an existing Public Trust clearance is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Clearance is required including for non-US Citizens residency in the United States a minimum of three (3) of the past five (5) years
  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on IT projects involving the integration of software applications including Identity and Access Management integration
  • Experience with business process modeling and SQL
  • Hands on experience with Agile projects

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirement discussions to document, analyze and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into project specifications, business process diagrams and workflows
  • Work with client Product Owners and other stakeholders to develop and validate user stories and priorities
  • Develop UI mockups using tools such as Balsamiq
  • Maintain requirements traceability and document change requests
  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Scrum Meetings and other agile activities
  • Create or update project deliverables, artifacts and technical specifications in accordance with client requirements
  • Support the Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure thoroughness of test strategies and scenarios
  • Assist the team with troubleshooting problems and developing recommendations/solutions
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to project schedules
