About The Position

As the Business Analyst for the Peoria Sales Office (BSPEO), you will provide customer service to Caterpillar facilities in the Americas, support Bridgestone global sales teams in Asia, Europe, and Americas with data consolidation and analysis, and provide office administration support. This role requires professional communication with domestic and international customers, dedication to customer success, and skill organize and accurately report business data using Excel. This individual will be office based 20 hours per week (4 hours per day/5 days per week). Applicants should live in or near Peoria, IL The anticipated annual salary range for this part‑time role is $23,500 – $32,900, based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary customer service contact for Caterpillar Brazil forecasts and orders, communication of those orders with BSJ, and collaboration with Caterpillar on required changes to quantity, ship-date. Typically done by email and Teams meetings/chat.
  • Monitor Caterpillar’s metrics of Bridgestone global supply, and work with Caterpillar to make corrections or escalate to other team members as required to ensure metrics are accurate. Metrics include on-time shipping and quality.
  • Communicate with Bridgestone units in EU, Japan, China, and India, and download BATO data from SAP, and compile and send accurate monthly consolidated results to BSJ.
  • Analyze draft monthly updates to annual forecast received from Caterpillar Brazil. Compare against forecasts and orders in Caterpillar MRC system, and collaborate with CAT to align order quantities and dates with BSJ shipping schedules.
  • Download and compile required data to support price adjustment formula (exchange rates, PPI indexes, NR futures contracts) and share with both Caterpillar and Bridgestone teams.
  • Receive invoices for office rent and operating expenses and submit requests for approval and payment.
  • Receptionist and event planning when customers and BSJ teammates visit our office. Frequent visits by Caterpillar members and a few major engineering/ management meetings each year.
  • Support annual office expense budgeting process with data.
  • Act as primary contact with landlord on office maintenance, janitorial, parking, emergency drills, etc.
  • Maintain office safety equipment and keep furnishings in good working order.
