It is the cornerstone for all that we do here at Wyld. -Make a Mark -We Blaze Our Own Trail -Brand First -We Mean Business Summary The Business Analyst is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and actionable insights to assist key and cross functional stakeholders at Wyld to make informed decisions that drive the company's ability to be successful in a dynamic business landscape. This role is responsible for identifying, communicating and facilitating solutions for the business that improve and increase efficiency through identifying variances in current business operations, and projecting future performance to anticipate potential effects on the organization. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in the success of our organization by consolidating multiple sources of data into an easily understandable format and interpreting and presenting relevant insights and actionable steps to improve the business

Requirements

  • Must be able to reliably work hybrid and commute to and from Clackamas, OR
  • At least 1 year experience as an Analyst or a similar experience with accurately collecting, organizing, and analyzing large data sets; knowledge of how to collect, organize, and evaluate market research
  • Experience leading data collection, QA/QC, working with various data sources and software tools to aggregate for reporting purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to determine reasonableness and ability to translate those insights into strategies
  • Knowledge of relevant database technologies, programming languages, data visualization, and reporting systems
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance assurance are critical for this role
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency in mathematics with the skill to translate complex mathematical information into understandable reports
  • Is proficient at data storytelling
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interest in social and environmental affairs
  • Eager to acquire new knowledge and understand relationships between variables even when application is not immediately apparent
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with managers, peers, other departments, and all levels of management
  • State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Highly proficient in Power BI, SQL, DAX, and Power Query is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Integrates data from diverse business areas (Sales, Operations, People) to reveal relationships and craft visual narratives that support actionable decision-making though Power BI, Power Point, Excel and other mediums
  • Make recommendations on best practices when it comes to data management, KPIs, process and data storytelling that are supported by industry best practices and internal company experts.
  • Measuring progress to find improvements in implemented systems by reconciling data across sources and tracking data gaps, outliers, and other discrepancies during quarterly data collection
  • Thinking creatively and transforming sometimes technical content into easy-to-understand narratives by presenting information through verbal, written, and digital communication
  • Identifying trends and patterns in large datasets to generate insights; using experience and judgment to plug in data gaps and infer relationships between variables with only partial information
  • Assist with verification of greenhouse gas emissions and all phases of Scope, following internal procedures and maintaining external standards and guidelines
  • Documenting data processes to support external assurance activities and information requests
  • Researching various data sources and technical guides for continuous data quality improvement
  • Creating processes to ensure the integrity, timeliness, and completeness of the assigned reporting
  • Applies statistical methods to design KPIs, create meaningful visualizations, and analyze large datasets and effectively communicate complex results to stakeholders in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Evaluate ROI and breakeven analysis on new projects
  • Performs ad hoc analysis as required by the VP of Business Analysis
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
