About The Position

The Business Analyst plays a critical role within the Business Solutions team, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and designing technology-based solutions to address complex business challenges across various functional areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. This position emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders to enhance business processes and drive continuous improvement, ultimately fostering self-sustaining capabilities within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent training, certifications, or experience
  • 5+ years of relevant business process improvement or project management experience in operations, distribution, finance, order to cash, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP implementation or business transformation projects; experience with Microsoft Navision or Business Central is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements
  • Business requirement gathering and effective technical and user documentation skills
  • Software testing and quality assurance methodologies, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Process modeling and workflow management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, document, and analyze detailed business requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with a strategic mindset
  • Experience identifying and prioritizing critical operational gaps related to system integration
  • Expertise acting as a trusted advisor and consultant to help organizations develop and set strategies for short- and long-term goals
  • Effective management of stakeholders including identification, engagement, relationship building, negotiation, and communication
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and various analysis tools
  • Proactive, highly motivated, self-starter, resourceful, and goal-oriented with a sense of urgency toward developing process improvements
  • Positive attitude, supportive of team, ability to encourage and inspire others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • A team player with the ability to communicate from both a technical and business perspective, at all levels of the organization
  • PMP or Agile certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, technology enhancements, and innovative solutions that drive business value
  • Develop functional and technical specifications that define system requirements and align with business goals and objectives
  • Utilize knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies and quality assurance principles
  • Ensure system documentation, such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, user manuals, and training materials, is accurate and up to date
  • Monitor system metrics, such as uptime, response times, and error rates, to drive optimization and performance improvements
  • Provide day-to-day support, address user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and escalate problems as needed
  • Assist and/or lead testing, validation, and deployment of new features, updates, and enhancements
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback and implementing lessons learned
  • Model and simulate cross-functional business processes, including understanding the existing process, designing the new processes, and working with IT to identify gaps within the ERP or other software functionality
  • Work closely with IT and business to provide value, resolve critical business problems, and help the business to re-engineer processes by using information technology as an enabler
  • Maintain an understanding of system capabilities and their relationship to business processes and IT roadmap
  • Assist in the review, analysis, and prioritization of IT business requests
  • Ensure business requests have requirements needed to hand off to IT to begin to project manage
  • Enhance the quality of IT products and services, by ensuring requirements are met
  • Identify technological solutions to business requirements and implement new business technology
  • Support the business in defining and testing end-to-end solutions
  • Monitor the processes after go-live, review the findings, and recommend action plans for the business
  • Demonstrate success in managing multiple priorities, tasks, and resources
  • Manage user expectations and resolve obstacles and concerns as they arise and escalate major issues in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Serve as a liaison between business personnel, Business Process Owners, and technical resources, facilitating effective communication and solution development
  • Derive logical conclusions, develop innovative solutions for operational and strategic changes, and budget and forecasting to ensure that costs do not exceed the limit
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with an IT project
  • Establish a culture of accountability and facilitate effective goal deployment that aligns with business goals
  • Provide event follow-up to monitor the progress of planned improvement implementation to assure timely action, appropriate support, sustainment, and achievement of expected tangible benefits
