About The Position

The position involves collaborating with various teams including business, finance, risk, and technology to gather and document requirements for regulatory and liquidity reporting processes. The role requires analyzing large datasets using advanced SQL for data validation, reconciliation, and impact analysis. The candidate will work on the end-to-end lifecycle of regulatory reporting systems, which includes requirement analysis, functional design, data mapping, testing, and implementation. Additionally, the role involves translating business requirements into functional specifications and collaborating with development teams for solution delivery. The candidate will support reporting for Basel III, Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), Capital Adequacy, and various financial/regulatory submissions such as COREP, FINREP, PRA, EBA, FED, and MAS. Participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), preparing test cases, and validating results are also key responsibilities. Ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards, as well as contributing to process improvements, automation, and data quality initiatives within finance and risk reporting domains, are essential aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Information Technology.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within Banking / Capital Markets / Regulatory Reporting domains.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives, repos, FX).
  • Hands-on experience with regulatory and liquidity reporting frameworks (Basel III, LCR, NSFR, ALMM, FINREP, COREP, etc.).
  • Advanced SQL skills – able to query, extract, and analyze large datasets for reconciliation and reporting validation.
  • Exposure to data warehouses / ETL processes and ability to work with data models supporting finance and risk systems.
  • Experience in financial reporting tools or regulatory reporting platforms (e.g., AxiomSL, Moody’s, Wolters Kluwer, SAP-BW, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with Finance, Risk, and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills (BRD, FRD, Data Mapping Sheets, Test Plans)
