About The Position

Your Role The Strategic Planning & Performance team develops long-term strategies, annual plans, and performance reporting for Middle Markets and Small Business lines of business. The Business Analyst, Senior – Middle Markets and Small Business will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Performance. This role requires a strong track record of building trusted relationships with cross-functional partners, developing clear and concise executive or market-facing reporting, and leveraging foundational analytical skills – with a demonstrated appetite to continue deepening analytic capabilities – to deliver actionable insights that support sales performance and growth. Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires foundational analytical and data skills (querying and managing Excel data), with curiosity and motivation to deepen technical and analytical expertise.
  • Requires experience developing executive-level reporting, summaries and presentations
  • Requires strong organizational skills with attention to details
  • Requires experience building strong working relationships with sales team, business partners and/or stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Health plan experience preferred
  • Experience in CRM or Salesforce preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide complex analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations
  • Develop annual operating plans, capital budgets and forecasts, and build business cases for new business initiatives (cost/benefit analysis)
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze reports with complex analysis and data for management review, and present to various levels of management
  • Define business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiency
  • Provide analytical support for multiple, complex cross-functional projects simultaneously; establish work plans and timelines
  • Partner with key enterprise partners to formulate data-driven business opportunities that support operational initiatives
  • Be passionate about anticipating unrealized problems or dependencies and recommend solutions that solve business problems and keeping user perspective in focus
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in performance and notify management of issues and problems that require immediate attention
  • Support users in adoption of sales tools and processes in group or individual settings
