About The Position

The Business Analyst position within EY's Strategy and Transactions (SaT) team focuses on preparing and executing mergers and acquisition plans to maximize synergies and financial benefits. The role involves providing operational support across the transaction life cycle, enhancing value, and managing operational transaction risks. The analyst will also manage teams, maintain client relationships, and cultivate business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, the Sciences or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of work experience.
  • 1 year of experience in business integrations, divestitures, or carve-outs including experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • 3 years of experience in conducting assessments of technology, finance, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain infrastructure.
  • 1 year of experience in the integration or separation of client operations.
  • 1 year of experience in a consulting or professional services firm in mergers and acquisitions.
  • 1 year of experience in synthesizing approaches in complex integration or divestiture conflicts.
  • 1 year of experience in project/engagement management, including managing engagements and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute mergers and acquisition plans to maximize synergies and financial benefits.
  • Provide operational support and advice across the transaction life cycle, including carve-out, due diligence, and integration.
  • Enhance value, accelerate implementation, and manage operational transaction risk.
  • Support operational aspects from carve-out readiness to integration processes.
  • Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • Deliver quality client services by monitoring progress and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Cultivate business development opportunities.
