The Measurement Services team is looking to add a dedicated individual to support safe, accurate, and compliant natural gas measurement activities across the US East region. We are seeking an analytical Business Analyst, Measurement Services East with strong attention to detail and an interest in developing foundational knowledge of natural gas measurement and data analytics. This role supports accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity by performing meter data validation, maintaining measurement records, and assisting with discrepancy analysis in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate with no more than two years of relevant experience
  • Post‑secondary education in business, analytics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn and apply technical concepts, systems, and standard operating procedures consistently
  • Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training (estimated up 10% of work schedule)
  • Occasionally interact with field operations and technical teams

Nice To Haves

  • Internship, co‑op, or early career experience in energy, utilities, or data analysis
  • Exposure to measurement systems, asset data, or operational analytics
  • Interest in natural gas measurement, regulatory compliance, or operational data integrity
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality

Responsibilities

  • Perform day‑to‑day meter data validation to support accurate and timely billing
  • Review, maintain, and document measurement records to ensure data integrity and audit readiness
  • Assist with the analysis of measurement discrepancies and support Lost and Unaccounted For (LAUF) investigations as required
  • Monitor routine measurement and data quality reports, escalating data or system issues as needed
  • Collaborate with Operations, Measurement Engineering, Gas Quality, and other internal teams to resolve routine measurement and data issues
  • Maintain organized records and meet daily and monthly deadlines associated with assigned activities
