About The Position

iWorks Corporation is seeking a Business Analyst Intern to support federal technology programs by helping bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This internship offers hands-on experience working within Agile teams, supporting requirements gathering, process improvement, and data analysis efforts across enterprise-level systems. Interns will collaborate with developers, engineers, and stakeholders to help translate business objectives into actionable technical requirements. This role is ideal for students or career transitioners interested in business analysis, project management, and working at the intersection of business and technology within a federal environment.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in: Business Information Systems Computer Science Project / Program Management Or a related field
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Interest in technology, data, and business processes

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies or project-based coursework
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Visio, or JIRA
  • Interest in federal IT systems, consulting, or process improvement
  • Exposure to data analysis or technical environments

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
  • Support the translation of business needs into technical specifications, including workflows and process diagrams
  • Help analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including developers and project managers
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and team meetings
  • Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and documenting solutions
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of system functionality
  • Help prepare documentation, presentations, and training materials for stakeholders
