About The Position

The Business Analyst II supports a technology migration initiative by reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs to align with overall business strategies. This role collaborates with business stakeholders and technical teams to define scope, map data, translate business rules into technical specifications, and ensure accurate system and data migration from legacy platforms to new solutions. The position is responsible for requirements elicitation, data analysis, process modeling, testing validation, and stakeholder communication to minimize business disruption and maintain data integrity. The Business Analyst II also prepares solution options, conducts risk and cost/benefit analyses, and develops comprehensive documentation and training materials to support successful implementation.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience in requirements gathering and testing of web -based applications.
• 5 years of experience performing data analysis using SQL queries.
• 5 years of experience creating mock -ups for user interfaces.
• 5 years of experience creating requirement traceability matrices.
• 5 years of experience writing test cases and test scripts.
• 5 years of experience testing batch jobs and web services.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years of experience working on projects following Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, define, and document business and technical requirements for system migration initiatives.
• Analyze legacy and target systems to identify data elements for migration and perform detailed data mapping.
• Document current -state (As -Is) and future -state (To -Be) business processes.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify differences between legacy functionality and new system capabilities, recommending solutions as needed.
• Develop requirement traceability matrices to ensure alignment between business needs and technical deliverables.
• Create mock -ups and user interface prototypes to support requirement validation.
• Write detailed functional specifications, user stories, and technical documentation.
• Develop and execute test cases and test scripts, including testing of batch jobs and web services.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating data consistency and migrated functionality.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, manage risks, and communicate project status to business and technical teams.
