Role Overview The Business Analyst II serves as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, supporting the analysis, definition, and delivery of technology-enabled solutions. This role is responsible for eliciting and translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements, analyzing current-state processes, and contributing to future-state solution design. Working across multiple initiatives of moderate complexity, the BA II partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, traceability, and quality throughout the delivery lifecycle. This role operates with moderate supervision, taking ownership of assigned work while building the skills and experience needed to support more complex initiatives and broader solution ownership over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in a business analyst, systems analyst, or similar role in a technology-enabled environment
  • Demonstrated experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into actionable deliverables
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis, system workflows, and solution design concepts
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Experience supporting technology implementations and working within cross-functional delivery environments
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools and agile delivery practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Ability to operate with moderate supervision while taking ownership of assigned work

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for system changes, enhancements, and new implementations
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria that are clear, complete, and actionable
  • Analyze current-state processes and workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and recommend practical improvements
  • Support the definition of future-state processes and solution approaches aligned to business objectives and system capabilities
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to ensure requirements are understood and accurately implemented
  • Evaluate solution options and trade-offs, considering impacts to systems, integrations, and data
  • Maintain traceability between business requirements and delivered solutions
  • Assist in prioritization of work by clearly articulating business value, dependencies, and risks
  • Support cross-functional alignment by facilitating discussions, clarifying requirements, and surfacing issues early
  • Support UAT planning and execution, ensuring test scenarios align with documented requirements
  • Provide clear and timely updates on requirements status, risks, and impacts to stakeholders
