About The Position

Rothe is seeking a Business Analyst I to provide financial analysis for the business office in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. Job Site: Houston, TX (This is a Hybrid Role) Salary is $48K - $58K Job Description: Rothe is seeking support to the Business Management Office in support of the financial deliverables including work package budget baseline development and pricing, monthly budget vs. actuals reporting, forecast assessments, variance analysis and financial database management. Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains time-phased cost proposals and revisions Develops resource forecasts and variance explanations for budgets in coordination with Management Team. Prepares monthly financial reporting and metrics, both internal and external for Management Team and customers. Weekly timesheet review, tracking and reporting Displays exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written/verbal communications as well as visualizations Possesses strong team building skills across multi-functional areas that establishes a collaborative operational structure Exhibits proven track record of working under tight deadlines High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up Makes recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience Maintain effective communication and cross-train within the department to serve as backup to others when assigned. Learn and understand the financial reporting tools, including testing new features, report development and training.

Requirements

  • BA in General Business (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years’ experience in Government Financial reporting utilizing a database for a large complex contract with numerous reporting levels.
  • Strong MS Excel experience including pivot tables, graphs and trend analysis.
  • High attention to details including solid organizational skills and quality products produced with a high amount of accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive), SharePoint, and Box.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NASA 533 Reporting, Deltek Cobra, Costpoint and iSITE Tools experience a plus.
