About The Position

Activision Blizzard is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Business Analyst to work with our Finance Engineering team to help define and deliver business and technology priorities. This individual will support key initiatives by analysing business needs, translating requirements into effective system solutions, and supporting delivery, adoption, and ongoing operational effectiveness. This position is open to remote candidates within the US.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar role working on Oracle Finance implementations, enhancements, or support engagements
  • Strong understanding of Finance business processes, with demonstrable experience in analysing processes and recommending practical improvements
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with key Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Finance modules, including Purchasing, iProcurement, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cash Management
  • Proven experience of working on global cross-functional IT initiatives or within a global, multi-regional organisation
  • Proven ability to build and manage effective stakeholder relationships across Business, IT, and external teams to drive alignment and outcomes
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and document solutions clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements, and translate them into clear system specifications
  • Experience of working with offshore or near-shore delivery and support teams
  • Experience of supporting or delivering integrations between Oracle Financial modules and third-party systems
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to operate outside of a defined comfort zone and work across functional boundaries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to structure and communicate complex information

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of additional Oracle R12 Finance modules such as AME, SLA, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger (GL)
  • Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL for analysis, troubleshooting, and requirements validation
  • Exposure to finance-related third-party tools such as Sabrix, Kofax, and MarkView
  • Working knowledge of data, reporting, or analytics platforms, such as OBIEE, Power BI, Looker, or similar enterprise BI tools
  • Experience using work management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to SOX, compliance, audit, or risk-related initiatives within a Finance or regulated IT environment
  • Basic understanding of databases, data flows, or analytics concepts to support reporting and validation activities
  • Interest or experience in process optimisation, automation, or emerging technologies within enterprise finance and reporting environments

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, and requirements, and to identify pragmatic IT-enabled solutions that meet user and organisational needs
  • Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business and functional requirements, translating them into clear system requirements for delivery by IT teams
  • Support the design, testing and rollout of system solutions, including Oracle ERP and custom-developed/ bespoke solutions
  • Act as a key interface between Business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, ensuring requirements are clearly documented, articulated, understood, and traceable throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Assist in managing project timelines, scope, and dependencies by supporting delivery plans, identifying risks and issues, and contributing to the on-time and within-budget delivery of solutions
  • Contribute to the IT Global Quarterly Release process, supporting the timely and high-quality delivery of continuous enhancements to IT applications and related processes
  • Review and assess alternative system designs and re-engineered processes, providing input on technical feasibility, operational effectiveness, and economic viability
  • Assist with the review and evaluation of existing processes and solutions, with the aim of improving efficiency, standardisation, and overall effectiveness
  • Support SOX compliance by ensuring all system changes adhere to defined governance, documentation, and approval processes
  • Liaise with offshore support teams and internal IT functions to support effective incident and service request management, ensuring service levels are maintained within agreed thresholds
