As a business analysis manager on the Investor Relations team, you will manage various aspects of Starbucks investor engagement including the quarterly earnings process, preparing financial and strategic communications to the investment community and providing internal financial communications support to our organization. As a business analysis manager, Investor Relations, you will… • Support investor events – you will be part of cross-functional teams (across Financial Reporting, FP&A, Legal, Public Affairs, Treasury and business units) planning and facilitating quarterly earnings calls, Annual Meeting of Shareholders and Investor Day • Track sell-side financial analyst estimates, projections and accuracy of consensus – you will inform the team and the CFO of the latest trends in analysts’ expectations while maintaining an in-depth understanding of their valuation models • Monitor industry trends – you will analyze peer company earnings results and the broader restaurant industry trends for benchmarking, as well as macroeconomic changes to apprise the leadership team of the dynamics affecting the company’s stock price • Prepare reponses to questions from the investment community – you will own and contribute to responses to investor and analyst questions while ensuring accuracy and consistency through research and consultation • Contribute towards the development of investor-facing presentation materials for the CFO, senior leadership and the board of directors • Assist with analyzing the accuracy of financial analyst notes about the company on an ongoing basis, bringing inaccuracies to the attention of senior management • Track the company’s stock price and develop market updates provided to senior management and board of directors • Oversee Starbucks IR website – you will work with the external service provider to maintain best practices in disclosure, site functionality and accessibility of information. • Establish, facilitate and own process development and improvement initiatives • Enjoy working on a fun, high-performing team – You will have a clear ability to drive the business forward while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, business planning or investor relations
  • Applicable and transferable industry experience
  • Contributing to and leading cross-functional teams
  • Making recommendations to and influencing decision makers
  • Critical thinking and ability to influence without authority
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy while working under tight deadlines
  • Project management experience, including the proven ability to drive multiple and competing projects to completion

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.
  • For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
