As a Business Analysis Advisor within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The Business Analysis Advisor plays a key role within the Technology organization, focusing on operational excellence, workforce analytics, and the optimization of routines that support the Global Capabilities Center (GCC). This role blends traditional business analysis with strategic workforce insights, driving internal improvement initiatives, enabling visibility across workstreams, and supporting informed decision‑making for leaders and hiring managers. Job Description Directs the research, discovery, collection and interpretation of business requirements. Participates in the development and review of complex processes and procedures, workflow analytics and reporting. May provide senior level consultation and communicates with clients and technology teams on business designs, problem solving and business analysis to support project goals and objectives. Consults and recommends the frameworks, methodologies and processes involved in business requirements traceability for business analysis teams. Independently mentors, leads, and coaches other associates to affect knowledge transfer. Oversees the development and maintenance of all applicable policy and procedure documentation. Translates business needs, processes and/or procedures by partnering with applicable experts and business stakeholders to determine and articulate needs. May communicate with senior level stakeholders and technology teams on complex business requirements. Leads multiple business analysis project management processes through planning, quality assurance and effectiveness assessment. Provides direction for the successful deployment of projects. Drives the development, analysis and distribution of complex reporting.

Requirements

  • Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions)
  • Excellent requirement‑gathering, documentation, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to structure ambiguous information and create clear, actionable output
  • Strong attention to detail and active monitoring mindset
  • Ability to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate analytics into business insights
  • Background in operations, business analysis, or technology workforce analytics preferred
  • Experience supporting technology or CIO organizations or working with global capability centers or distributed workforce models preferred.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support technology workforce strategy, routines, and operations with an emphasis on internal efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Actively monitor workforce trends, performance indicators, and progress toward goals to enhance visibility and transparency for leadership.
  • Lead requirement‑gathering sessions to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Organize stakeholder inputs, synthesize points of view, and structure problem‑solving approaches for mini‑projects and ongoing workstreams.
  • Provide analytical insights that inform course corrections, risk identification, and opportunities for operational enhancements.
  • Conduct workforce data analysis, including trend identification, metric tracking, and multi-dimensional reporting to support strategic workforce decisions.
  • Deliver insights to CIO‑aligned business offices and internal teams to support hiring managers and operational partners.
  • Identify and drive improvements across processes, reporting routines, and operational workflows.
  • Support efforts to streamline technology workforce operations and strengthen governance across the GCC.
  • Collaborate closely with business offices supporting CIOs and internal Technology team leaders.
  • Facilitate clear communication across teams, ensuring alignment on analytics, insights, and operational priorities.
