About The Position

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency is looking for a Legal & Business Affairs Manager, Influencer Management to join our growing team! This is a long-term, on-going, contract role with access to our benefits! We are a hybrid workplace, currently x3 days in-office. Candidates must be local to SoCal. OVERVIEW In this role, you will manage the business and legal aspects of influencer and content productions and may include use of the SAG-AFTRA Commercial contract across IUS’s client roster, including talent contracting (influencers, creators, and celebrities), licensing and IP clearances, budget administration, issue spotting, program management, and interpretation of the SAG-AFTRA Commercials contract.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading influencer/content creator campaigns.
  • 2+ years of experience within an advertising agency and/or commercial production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of whitelisting, boosting, and social media best practices.
  • Working knowledge of FTC social media regulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the social media industry.
  • Solutions-oriented, optimistic, and strategic.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Eager to strengthen the Legal & Business Affairs Influencer/Content Creator practice by contributing to shared creative goals.
  • Travel and on-set production work may be required (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

  • Source, select, and recommend influencers and content creators for internal review and approval.
  • Contract directly with influencers and content creators.
  • Review creative with senior leadership for clearances/licensing and flag key considerations.
  • Prepare production estimates, including itemized breakdowns and producer inputs.
  • Partner with client cost consultants to secure estimate approval.
  • Create production start-up documents (e.g., production agreements, insurance, and talent requirements) and manage talent contracting/estimating for commercial and non-commercial productions, including SAG-AFTRA and non-union agreements.
  • Negotiate and contract celebrity, influencer, and content creator talent from outreach through final agreement.
  • Manage third-party licensing (e.g., stock, film/TV, music, and props) from research through contracting.
  • Issue purchase orders and manage invoice approval, payment, and job actualization.
  • Partner with senior leadership, legal counsel, and account teams to resolve production liability issues.
  • Train and mentor associates and coordinators.

  • The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000. Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: client, experience, training and/or transferable skills.
