About The Position

San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance recognizes that our team members play a crucial role in driving our conservation efforts forward and bringing us close to a world where all life thrives. The Bus Person under general supervision performs general duties related to serving the guests in a prompt and efficient manner, clean-up, stocks restaurant with proper dishes and silverware, sets up special parties and events, and performs related work as required. This position reports to Lead Bus Person or Chef. The Mkutano House is an upcoming restaurant concept built around community, connection, and exceptional guest experiences. We are seeking passionate, reliable, and service-oriented individuals who are excited to help bring this vision to life from the ground up. This is more than a position—it is an opportunity to grow with a dedicated team, help shape a new dining destination, and contribute meaningfully from day one. Please note, if you are 18 years or older and selected for this role you will be required to complete the Responsible Beverage Service Training (RBS) within 60 days of your hire date. Training will be provided to you by the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance and completed on site.

Responsibilities
- Performs general table service/clean-up at table service restaurants
- Stocks dining area with proper dishes and silverware
- Makes certain each table is correctly set up
- Moves tables, chairs and supplies for catered events
- Keeps assigned areas clean, orderly, and in a safe condition
- Politely answers customers' questions regarding the Organization
