The Bus Operator is responsible for the safe operation of a large passenger motor vehicle and transporting passengers to specific destinations within the general area. This position is responsible for performing prescribed pre/post-operational safety maintenance checks; accumulating and recording statistics for daily reports on fixed route service; and must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. This position could be subject to shift rotation resulting in shift differential. Regular, non-disruptive, and reliable attendance is an essential job duty, as well as the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Razorback Transit provides paid CDL training to obtain the required Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for this position. The cost of testing materials is reimbursed upon the successful completion of the written and skills test for the CDL license. The base work schedule for this position will be Tuesday - Saturday. Saturday is a mandatory work day. Overtime work/pay is available and/or required.
