About The Position

The Hallsville Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for a position that requires a commercial driver's license (CDL) and a Texas School Bus Driver Certificate. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students and adhering to all district policies and regulations. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and agree to a review of their driving record, as well as drug and alcohol testing as required by the district. The position may involve a review of criminal history records as mandated by Texas law.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Must have a Texas School Bus Driver Certificate.
• Must have a current D.O.T. Physical.
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing as required.

• Experience driving a school bus or similar vehicle.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to student transportation.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely to and from school and school-related activities.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and district policies regarding student transportation.
• Maintain a clean and safe bus environment.
• Complete required documentation and reports related to transportation activities.
