About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to ride buses and assist the driver in ensuring the safe and orderly transportation of students with disabilities. The role involves direct interaction with students and requires a commitment to their safety and well-being during transit.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to operate safety equipment and adaptive equipment.
• Ability to manage student behavior.
• Ability to work well with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bus driver in ensuring the safe transportation of students with disabilities.
• Manage student behavior on the bus.
• Communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Operate safety and adaptive equipment as needed.
