The Personal Group Movement Bus Inspector is responsible for inspecting scheduled Charter Buses in the local area prior to departure, preparing documentation, assisting the Material Coordinator and filing reports for Group Moves services. This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver’s License with no restrictions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust.
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
  • Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation.
  • 1-year experience in an office setting, experience with military regulations to include the Joint Travel Regulation and Defense Travel Regulation.
  • Microsoft office, good typing and communication skills
  • Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Manage own time and the time of others.
  • Knowledge of government regulations, executive orders and organization policies.
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen with understanding of information presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Must be able to lift to 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Services skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects buses for conformance with local, state, federal safety rules and regulations according to inspection sheet.
  • Maintains records of inspection and makes necessary reports.
  • Complete several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence.
  • Coordinates with units, and vendors on times and locations for inspections.
  • Drive a GSA vehicle.
  • Stepping up into Charter Buses for inspection, extended sitting, and squatting are required.
  • Perform other duties as required that may involve working overtime, weekends, flexible hours and holidays.
