About The Position

Provides safe and efficient transportation to and from school for students according to established routes and within established times and guidelines; provides safe efficient transportation to students on extra-curricular or other non-route trips

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid Arkansas Class B CDL with P and S endorsements.

Responsibilities

Performs and properly completes daily pre-trip inspections.
Defensively drives specific route transporting students to and from school in a timely manner.
Addresses behavior problems when necessary
Maintains open communication with parents.
Uses chain-of-command to report major disciplinary problems.
Inspects bus for damage at end of each run.
Sweeps bus and leaves it in clean condition.
Completes paperwork. Examples may include: Student count. Record of mileage. Accident reports. Maintenance requests
Attends safety meetings, in-service training, and other workshops.
Attends orientation meeting.
Wash bus.
Other duties as assigned
