About The Position

PRN (per diem) position. Schedule varies based on blood drive calendar. Must be able to work weekends. Position Overview The CDL Bus Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up blood mobiles at various blood drives.Essential Functions Bloodmobile deliveries and pick-ups Must be able to work a variable PRN schedule for bloodmobile deliveries and pick-ups from our depot location to various blood drives Understands and supports the quality goals of the company Adheres to all safety policies and procedures Courier duties as assigned Deliveries of extra supplies to drives that need additional items Other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and valid CDL Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
• One year job related experience is preferred
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the buses used by The Blood Connection
• Excellent customer services skills
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to follow SOP in a heavily FDA regulated environment
• Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors and co-workers
• Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
