About The Position

Bus Driver to drive van for Gabbs school. No CDL Required Location: Gabbs School 511 E Avenue, Gabbs, NV 89409 NOTE: Gabbs is a rural community approximately 280 miles from Pahrump, NV Hours: 5.5 hours a day/ 4 days a week Salary Range: $22.10- $24.21 Job Goal: Provide safe and efficient transportation for District students.

Requirements

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
Correct English usage and grammar
Knowledge of educational, behavioral and emotional principles and techniques
Ability to relate to adults and children of all ages, particularly those with a disabling condition
Current CPR certification and First Aid training
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to assist with toileting needs

Responsibilities

Obeys all traffic laws.
Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
Maintains student discipline on the bus.
Keeps assigned bus cleaned. This shall include all vision mirrors, windows and the inside of the bus.
Adheres to route, stops and schedule as determined by the immediate supervisor.
Reports all accidents and completes the required reports.
Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or safety problems.
Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-District school trips.
Transports only authorized students and District Employees.
Performs the daily pre-trip safety inspection of the bus.
Enforces District bus safety rules.
