About The Position

Under the direction of the General Manager of Goldbelt Transportation LLC, the incumbent(s) will be responsible for operating a 40-foot passenger bus, providing transportation for Kensington Mine staff, and ensuring passenger safety and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Ability to safely drive a passenger bus in all types of weather, road conditions, and in darkness
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance on the bus
  • Ability to lift 50-pounds
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle emergency or stressful situations in a calm manner
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to install tire chains
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 19 years of age and have held a driver’s license for at least one year
  • DOT Physical,
  • Current First Aid CPR Certification
  • Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with passenger and air brake endorsements, and
  • Possess a medical certificate for CDL drivers
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test; subject to random drug testing
  • Must be able to pass a breathalyzer test before each shift for Kensington Mine

  • Previous experience in customer service or working with the public

Responsibilities

  • Complies at all times with safety and traffic regulations and requirements while driving the bus
  • Assists with loading and unloading of passengers and freight
  • Performs safety checks on vehicle
  • Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of vehicle including sweeping and mopping, window washing, lubrication, oil and tire pressure checks, and minor mechanical repairs
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
