Job Purpose: Be the friendly face behind the wheel who helps residents stay connected to the community. As a Bus Driver, you’ll provide safe, comfortable transportation for residents to appointments, outings, and events. You’ll ensure every trip is safe, smooth, and enjoyable while supporting the Life Enrichment team in creating meaningful experiences beyond our campus.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Courteous, patient, and attentive to the needs of older adults.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to compliance.
- Reliable, flexible, and adaptable to changing schedules.
- Genuine desire to make a difference by helping residents stay active and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to and from scheduled activities.
- Stay alert to traffic, weather, and road conditions to ensure safety and comfort.
- Assist residents with boarding, securing mobility devices, and fastening seatbelts.
- Keep the bus clean, fueled, and in good operating condition with regular inspections.
- Work with the Life Enrichment team to plan and support off-site programs.
- Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or resident issues promptly.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and staff.
