About The Position

Bus Driver - Multiple Positions Available Hours: 25-35 Hours Per Week Days/Times: TBD - May Vary as Needed Qualifications/Training/Skills: High school diploma or equivalent. Flexible schedule. Valid CDL w/ bus driver endorsement - may include driving district van when needed. Medical certificate, DOT and skills test as required by the State of Michigan. Good driving record. Good attendance and punctuality. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students. Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community. Knowledge and awareness of one's own cultural identity and how this influences behavior and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others. Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District. Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage.
