About The Position

This is a semi-skilled part time position at the Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island operating buses. The work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of vehicular equipment and usually involves some equipment maintenance duties and other semi-skilled work relating to the equipment and building maintenance activities. Employees will receive definite and detailed instructions from a supervisor at the time of appointment. The work is performed according to established procedures with frequent daily inspections.

Requirements

• Requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the operation of bus or truck; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus with students to and from field study sights.
• Some driving on occasion to local schools to pick-up or drop-off local day groups.
• Cleaning of buses to include sweeping, washing windshield, dashboard.
