About The Position

The University at Albany is seeking a Temporary Bus Driver for the Parking & Mass Transit Services department. This position is responsible for safely operating buses and ensuring timely transportation of passengers. The role requires a valid Class A or B New York State commercial driver license (CDL) and may require additional endorsements based on assignment. The working hours are full-time during evenings, with shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM or 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, for a duration of 9 months annually from mid-August to mid-December and mid-January to mid-May. The salary for this position is $19.34 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess and maintain a valid Class A or B New York State commercial driver license (CDL).
• Working knowledge of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
• Working knowledge of simple automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to operate assigned vehicles safely and effectively under various road conditions.
• Ability to plan routes and estimate travel time.
• Ability to communicate orally for information exchange.

Responsibilities
