A Day in the Life as a Substitute Bus Driver: As a Substitute Bus Driver, you’ll be responsible for operating buses in the provision of transportation services to passengers with regard to their safety, confidence and comfort. Must obey all applicable local, State and Federal laws and regulations. Your day will involve: Operates vehicle maintaining high safety standards and passenger confidence and following established routes and schedules in a timely manner. Responsible for accurate communication pertaining to changes in passenger itinerary and records and reports transportation data, as required. Maintains proper vehicle appearance and cleanliness, inside and out including possessing sensitivity to vehicle performance and limitations. Responsible for operating proper communications of the two-way radio system. Assists passengers with disabilities. Your role will directly contribute to a positive participant experience.
