BUS DRIVER - PT I
About The Position
The objective of the Bus Driver is to operate up to a 20-passenger wheelchair lift equipped bus or van to transport the public in a safe and timely manner, with excellent customer service, assisting passengers in boarding and debarking; to communicate with dispatcher and passengers to ensure effective service; to maintain cleanliness of vehicle; may operate in an on-demand mode or on a route schedule. Required to have a Commercial Drivers License with a Passenger Endorsement. On-going Improvement Job Knowledge & Effectiveness Expectation to: Provide transportation for the public. Meet performance standards for on-time schedules, customer satisfaction and vehicle cleanliness. Communicate frequently with dispatcher for drop off and pick up times for riders. Maintain daily records of passenger data and provide transportation reports as required by KDOT. Performs pre/post-departure vehicle checks. Report maintenance and upkeep needs for vehicles when needed to supervisor. Assist passengers in boarding and debarking, assisting passengers on and off the bus if necessary. Attend mandatory RTAP Driver's Training as required by KDOT. Attend training sessions and staff meetings. Greet customers and assist with questions they may have, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
