About The Position

The position involves driving an activity bus for out of town trips, specifically to locations such as Phoenix and Tucson. The role requires a commitment to safety and professionalism while operating a school bus. The driver will be responsible for performing daily pre-trip inspections, supervising students, and enforcing discipline policies. The position is classified as hourly and reports to the Transportation Supervisor.

Requirements

• No points on driving record.
• Ability to pass a physical exam, including drug test.
• Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain such.
• Successful in passing all State training and written test.
• Ability to work cordially with co-workers and students.
• Ability to work early morning and/or variable hours as needed.
• Be able to drive on out of town trips including Phoenix and Tucson.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus safely and professionally.
• Demonstrates proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections.
• Complies with all traffic ordinances.
• Supervises students; enforces discipline policies.
• Participates in on-site training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
