The Bus Driver - On Call position at TRAX International involves providing shuttle services in support of various NASA programs and facilities. This part-time intermittent role requires operating a range of vehicles while ensuring compliance with driving regulations and maintaining vehicle safety and functionality.

  • Operates various buses, trucks, motor coaches, and other types of small to medium sized vehicles and equipment.
  • Performs operator inspections, maintenance, and servicing of vehicles operated.
  • Maintains operator checklist, and maintenance, service, and usage logs.
  • Drives vehicle to destination, applying knowledge of state, local, and federal driving regulations, and roads in the area.
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive instructions, or report delays or accidents.
  • Inspects vehicle equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, refills reservoirs, and reports all equipment failures to the dispatcher.
  • Performs emergency road repairs such as changing tires.
  • Assists in loading and unloading of passengers and cargo as required.
  • Performs after-hours, weekend, and emergency call-back services as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's license (CDL).
  • Must produce proof of a clean driving record for the last five years.
  • Three years of experience operating vehicles of this class.
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding operating procedures, route schedules, timetables, and traffic regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hourly Rate: $22.56
  • Employees will accrue one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
