About The Position

Join Trailways of New York as a Bus Driver, where you will operate modern motor coaches to provide safe and timely transportation for passengers across New York State and into Canada. Requirements

• Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
• Unrestricted Passenger endorsement to transport 16 passengers or more.
• More than one year of experience driving a Coach, Bus, or commercial vehicle.
• Ability to complete a 5-week training program.
• Valid passport or enhanced driver's license for travel to Canada (preferred).
• Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

• Experience driving a motor coach or school bus.
• Valid passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers along designated routes safely and on time.
• Provide exceptional customer service during trips.
• Operate modern motor coaches and ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
• Complete a 5-week training program away from home Monday-Friday.
• Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and DOT physical exams.

Benefits

• Starting rate of $26.50 per hour.
• Daily Minimum Guarantee of $212.00.
• Weekly Minimum Guarantee of $1060.00.
• Overtime rate of $39.75 per hour after 40 hours in a week.
• 6-week training program paid at $22.00 per hour, increasing to $33.00 after 40 hours.
