About The Position

The Bus Aide position at Stephenville ISD involves supporting the safe transportation of students by assisting the bus driver in various tasks. Requirements

• Ability to assist students with special needs

Responsibilities

• Monitoring student safety while boarding and exiting the bus
• Assisting students with special needs, including those using wheelchairs, braces, or crutches
• Helping the driver maintain the cleanliness of the bus
• Assisting the driver in maintaining discipline among students
• Leading bus evacuations during emergencies and participating in emergency exit drills
• Providing instruction to students on bus safety rules
• Working with the driver to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students
• Sweeping the bus and performing other related tasks
• Staying up to date on school district policies
• Being proficient in transportation service procedures
• Managing students during transit
