About The Position
Comstock Park School District is seeking a dedicated Bus Aide who is passionate about making a positive impact on students and the community. The primary responsibility of this position is to monitor students on the bus and in various areas of the school to ensure a safe and positive environment. The Bus Aide will enforce the student code of conduct and report any violations to the administration, thereby contributing to a disciplined and respectful atmosphere. This role is essential in maintaining order during bus duty and recess, ensuring that students adhere to the established policies and procedures of the school district. The Bus Aide will be responsible for monitoring students in assigned areas such as the cafeteria, hallways, classrooms, and on the bus. This includes providing supervision during bus loading and unloading, as well as during recess periods. The individual in this role must possess the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and the community, both orally and in writing. Additionally, the Bus Aide must demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to reason with students in various situations. To be successful in this position, the Bus Aide must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily, which may include operating a personal computer and related software. The role requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff, as well as the capacity to maintain confidentiality regarding student information. The Bus Aide will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of the students in the Comstock Park School District.
