About The Position
Primary Function Maintain order and discipline on the school bus to ensure a safe and positive environment.
Responsibilities
- Know and obey state and federal laws pertaining to school bus transportation.
- Work with the Driver to maintain proper care of the school bus, including bus cleanliness.
- Maintain a level of student discipline on the bus that allows the Driver to operate the bus in a safe manner at all times.
- Report all misbehavior to the Transportation Director.
- Assist students on and off the bus when necessary to provide for the safety of all students.
- Attend all in-service meetings as required for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
- Provide emergency health care when called upon by the Driver to ensure the safety of all students.
- Observe and follow all District policies at all times for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing the district’s directives.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information in order to remain in compliance with legal requirements and to maintain a professional work environment.
- Cooperate with all drivers, mechanics, and administrators.
- Report to and perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Director.
